CM Information Specialists employs state-of-art security systems. Security is priority one, whether internal or using our secure transport systems. Data security and reliability is accomplished through the latest technology. Updates and security checks are performed on a routine basis. Secure backups are stored on-site and in secure off-site locations.

Software:
CMIS uses the latest software technology to ensure that all connections and data transfer are protected with a minimum of 128 bit SSL encryption. All data is tested for viruses. Both real time and regular virus scans sweep data for any possible issues. Our policies and procedures include both planned security audits and random security checks.

CMIS offers software that in most environments can convert your system’s electronic medical record into a file suitable for electronic forwarding. Once that file is converted, CMIS’s copyrighted software, CopyMed Secure, encrypts the files, uploads it to a secure repository where only the authorized requestor can access the data. EMR Program support
CMIS health document specialists are familiar with current electronic medical record systems including Epic, Logician, Nextgen, and Mysis and can learn any system your facility uses. CMIS managers provide our health document specialists with on-the-job training to familiarize staff with client specific software and procedures.

HIPAA

CMIS health document specialists are trained to and follow all legal and procedural issues related to HIPAA, as site policy directs. Our health document specialists are also provided with testing, and follow-up training in any legislative changes related to HIPAA.
