Teamwork
This might be a tired word used in school, in work, in athletics. The work we do at CMIS depends on teamwork. Pretty easy to say, wouldn't you agree. Even a five year old could figure it out.
However, every day we have situations, pressures and expectations getting in the way of teamwork and get in the way of this simple wisdom.
Think about it. How many times have you not asked for help on a project because it would be "easier to just do it myself"? Or, we do not ask for advice because we do not want to admit to not knowing? It is likely we all have done these, or other foibles at one point or another.
What I want to bring to everyone's attention is that each of us is part of a great team. Each one of us plays an important part in our mission. For our team, and our customers to succeed, not only do we all need to do our part, but also we need to ask for help. Don' t know what to think of an authorization? Ask for help. Running late on a deadline for a customer? Ask for help. Need to resolve an issue and just do not know where to turn? Ask for help.
I could go on - but the point is one of those "kindergarten moments"
that I am reminded of almost daily.
If you need help - just ask.
Personal note - I had help with this article from Luke, my second grader and Ben, my "Pre-Ker". Oh, and the editor
