Goodbye, Michelle

By Bonnie Coffey

Picture this:  an applicant comes into your business and has these attributes:  versatility, experience managing people, a knack for working in many computer applications, ran her own company for a while and is serious about getting the right business and educational experience to compliment her lifelong goals.  Would you turn this person down for a job?  I didn’t and because of this decision I made back in 2000 Michelle Dunn chose to work for  CM Information Specialists.

Michelle spent 8 years with our management team and introducing us to the right ways to conduct surveys with our customers and employees and how to interpret the results.  Getting the highest ranking  “strongly agree” on each question was Michelle’s goal for the company. Michelle said “If we don’t have customers who are passionate about our services, then why are you in business?”  Our surveys left us with a list of objectives to accomplish such as “improving communication”. From this information we created ways to improve and measured our success with succeeding surveys.  Without Michelle’s tenaciousness, we would not have such passionate responses to our services.

Michelle was also the project managers for CMINFOSECURE.  This job let Michelle use her talents with computers ensuring that what we offered customers and clients was secure, easy to use and would stand up to the standards set by the Security Rule.  Michelle also acted as our Privacy Officer and guided our employees to write better goals related to keeping PHI safe.

If  there was a job to be done, Michelle would volunteer for it and put her whole heart and soul into it.  We now have better written training materials for our employees and a week long session at CMI-U ensuring that our new employees receive enough training here at our offices so that they can process requests once they get to their assigned location.
